At EKZ RESOURCES, our mission is to do whatever it takes to make our kidz successful and empower caregivers and teachers to feel heard.
When the stakes are this high, early support makes all the difference!
The Rapid Response Team steps in before things escalate and help by keeping kids in care, supporting educators, and giving families real solutions that work.
Since January 2024, the Rapid Response Team (formerly Rapid Response Team under the Preschool Development Grant through Engage Kidz LLC) has supported Early Childhood Centers in Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, and Greene Counties.
The Rapid Response Team (RRT) was created to address rising behavioral challenges in early childhood education (ECE).
Research shows early suspensions and expulsions predict later academic failure, dropout, and even incarceration...often called the... "PRESCHOOL-TO-PRISION PIPELINE".
The RRT helps to strengthen early childhood centers by RESPONDING QUICKLY to behavioral challenges, including those with autism, developmental delays, or other needs who face long waitlists for services.
A therapist sees a child within 1–2 weeks, providing short-term (1–3 months) positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies.
Our team of therapists coach and train teachers, supports families, and collaborates across the child’s team.
The RRT offers free expert support to keep kids in care and empower educators to feel more confident.
WE PROVIDE:
Most behavior challenges in young children are communication struggles in disguise.
The primary form of communication for children 3-years-old and younger is through their behavior.
When a child "acts out", they're often expressing needs they don't yet have the words for.
That's why our RRT steps in quickly with tools, strategies, and support that work with the child, not against them.
